AuditGround is an independent publisher covering compliance and security software — the platforms companies use to earn and maintain certifications like SOC 2 and ISO 27001. It's a market with dozens of near-identical-looking options, opaque pricing, and high switching costs, where buyers often choose under deal pressure with little to go on. We exist to make that decision clearer.
We publish two kinds of thing: plain-English explainers that help you understand the landscape (what these platforms do, which framework you need, how the audit works), and buyer-focused assessments that help you choose between specific options. The goal is that our material is genuinely useful whether or not you ever act on a recommendation.
Every platform we cover is evaluated against the same criteria, applied consistently:
We favour evidence over marketing, and we describe trade-offs rather than declaring a single universal winner — because the best platform genuinely depends on your situation.
AuditGround earns referral commissions when readers sign up for some of the platforms we cover. We're transparent about this because it's how the site sustains itself — but it does not shape our assessments. We apply the same criteria to every platform whether or not a commission is available, and we will recommend a platform that pays us nothing over one that pays us well if that's the better fit for the reader. If we ever can't cover something objectively, we'll say so. Our full policy is in the disclosure statement.
AuditGround is an independent publisher focused on the compliance and security software market. We operate independently of the platforms we cover, and apply the same published criteria to every one of them.
